Cynthia Rose Hamilton who heads the Philadelphia office joined Heritage Consulting Group in 2004, bringing a combined expertise in historic preservation consultation and architectural conservation.  Cindy has worked as a preservation consultant based in the Philadelphia region for over fifteen years and has been involved in the restoration and rehabilitation of hundreds of architecturally and historically significant buildings on the east coast.

Cindy has developed specific expertise in the Federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentive Program and the National Register of Historic Places program.  She has overseen successful approvals of Tax Credit projects resulting in the rehabilitation of schools, banks, warehouses, factories, office buildings, hotels and railroad stations.  She has been involved in the creation of numerous historic districts and has nominated dozens of individual buildings to the National Register of Historic Places. 

With considerable proficiency in architectural conservation, Cindy has carried out building investigations, developed comprehensive conditions assessments, and has prepared conservation recommendations to guide restorations.  She has particular expertise in the microscopic analysis of painted architectural finishes and has directed the conservation and re-creation of historic paint schemes for churches, theaters, and city, state and federal government buildings.

Cindy holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania and has completed advanced coursework in architectural conservation at the Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education.
