Project Management

Heritage is well versed in the vagaries of project management.  Our approach is defined by 5 fundamental principles.

1.  Flexibility

Projects vary in size, shape and form.  Heritage is   comfortable allowing the requirements of the project to shape our management approach.  This includes adjusting work schedules and products and circumstances require.  This flexibility allows us to be cost-effective, timely and productive.

2.  Owner Representative

Our fundamental business philosophy is that our job is to represent our client to the best of our ability.  It is our goal to make the client, look good, to make the process look good, and to make the project look good.  Our work is a reflection of our client.

3.  Problem Identification

Because projects nearly always evolve and undergo some negotiation, Heritage works hard at the outset to understand the client’s goals, priorities, and project give points.  Time spent upfront in understanding the end game allows the greater potential for timelines and success.

4.  Situational Analysis

Projects never happen in a vacuum.  Once the problem and goals are identified, Heritage works hard to understand the environment surrounding the project in order to anticipate opportunities and challenges.  Problems are better avoided and opportunities better captured by anticipating and understanding options.

5.  Regular Communication & Feedback

As appropriate, Heritage will initially spend considerable time on the problem, situational analysis and stakeholder identification, and discussing those issues with the client.  But it is also important to establish routine and ongoing communication and feedback.  This communication will be written progress reports, conversation and as relevant, team meetings.
